The
Association’s development activities include educational programs,
public information activities, and publications. Fundraising
also serves the multiple tasks of financially supporting services,
community education and program development. |
Education
& Information - AMH periodically offers educational programs
covering a wide range of mental health topics. Information is
also shared in the media, at events and in the AMH newsletter,
Parallax...a new line of sight, which is produced three times
a year.
Fundraising
is crucial to balancing program budgets with community mental
health needs. Proceeds support specific areas: therapeutic services
and educational, social and cultural events for those in our programs;
building improvements and the Amy Carpenter Memorial Scholarship
Fund. Mental health is still seriously under-funded and these
limited funds are always vulnerable to economic conditions and
legislative decisions.
Current fundraising events include: a Summer Cruise on Lake George
sponsored by AMH. Participants and volunteers are always needed
and welcome.
