Education & Information - AMH periodically offers educational programs covering a wide range of mental health topics. Information is also shared in the media, at events and in the AMH newsletter, Parallax...a new line of sight, which is produced three times a year. Fundraising
is crucial to balancing program budgets with community mental
health needs. Proceeds support specific areas: therapeutic services
and educational, social and cultural events for those in our programs;
building improvements and the Amy Carpenter Memorial Scholarship
Fund. Mental health is still seriously under-funded and these
limited funds are always vulnerable to economic conditions and

Amy Carpenter Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in
1989 in honor of a counselor at AMH. The Scholarship offers full
tuition is awarded annually to a second-year student enrolled
in community mental health, criminal justice or nursing at Adirondack
Community College. The scholarship is funded through public and
corporate donations. Contact AMH if you are interested in donating
