people attended the May 28th AMH Annual Dinner at the Fort William
Henry in Lake George. In Addition to food, fun and the musical
Hi-Flyers, the evening was an opportunity to present an overview
of AMH activities and to praise exceptional people who influence
mental health in our community.

Services Staff Ingrid Aldous (L) and Angela Tracy,

Ms. Cleavland received the 1st annual Dorthea Dix Community
Service Award for an individual who is not part of the
mental health system. |

McCann, owner of McCann's Rexall Drug Store in
Hudson Falls accepted the Dorthea Dix Community Service
Award for a business whose work exemplifies the teaching
of Dorothea Dix- a mid 19th century reformer who devoted her
life to humane treatment for people with mental illnesses. |

Pirrone, Residence Counselor, received a staff award for
five years of service at AMH from John Schurga, CFO. |

Lori Bishop and Linda Eckstein. 5 Years of Service-

CHANGES
Nancy
Harrigan, CSWR President of NAMI-North Country, was elected
to the AMH Board of Directors at the May meeting. Nancy also is
a member of the Stigma Action Coalition and part of the CMHP Team
to promote "Breaking the Silence" in public schools.
Carol Notari Recently retired from BOCES, Carol Notari
was elected to a three-year term on the AMH Board of Directors.
Linda
Donovan, CSWR Promoted from Caleo Clinic Director to Director
of Clinical Services for all AMH Program areas-Caleo Counseling
Services, Residential and Integrated Services.
Donna
Gilman Hired as Adult Case Manager for Integrated Services
Program. Donna previously worked as an assistant for Intensive
Case Management, Glens Falls Hospital.
Elizabeth
Halton, CSWR Promoted to Coordinator of Clinic Services for
the AMH Sexual Offender Program and satellite programs at the
Whitehall and Warrensburg Health Centers.
Sue
Clary Hired as Youth Case Manager in AMH Integrated Services
Program. Sue previously worked as a therapeutic foster parent
at the Parson's Parent & Child Center
Lori
Bishop Hired as Transitional Manager/Integrated Services,
to coordinate benefits and provide case management for inmates
being released from the Warren-Washington County Jail.
Chris
Martin Hired as Supported Housing Counselor helping people
establish their home in the community-finding apartments, moving
in, securing benefits, etc. Previously, Chris worked as residence
counselor at Genesis.
Jeff
Westerman New to the AMH staff, Jeff is employed as a Residential
Case Manager in the Dual Recovery Program assisting clients who
have substance abuse issues, and are living within the residential
system at AMH. Jeff previously held the position of Residence/MICA
Case Manager at Hammond House in Saratoga Springs.
Donna
Vedder Hired as Case Manager in the Dual Recovery Program
linking people with services. Previously, Donna worked in the
AMH Residential program.
