Berta
Lowenstein, CSWR
Promoted to Coordinator of AMH Clinical Services at Caleo Counseling
Services. As Coordinator, she will oversee the TRY Program (Treatment
Reaching Youth) and the Student Intern Program, SUNY Albany.
Lea
Ann Sherry
Hired as a Counselor in the AMH Residential Program. Ms. Sherry
previously worked with at-risk youths for the Washington County
Alternative Sentencing Program. She has an Associates Degree in
Criminal Justice with a psychology minor.
Carol
Notari
A new AMH Board member, Carol Notari is working with the Coalition
for the Advancement of Mental Health (COFAMH) on two youth projects-Catch
a Falling Star and Breaking the Silence. Ms. Notari is retired
from BOCES.
Judithellen Kennedy
Joins COFAMH to assist with the "Catch a Falling Star Youth Program."
Ms. Kennedy is a recently-retired public health nurse and part
owner of Renee's Restaurant, Chestertown.
Roberta
Lee-Brynes
Hired in the newly-created Accounting-Billing Assistant at AMH.
Previously, Ms. Lee-Brynes was employed as an accountant at Evergreen
Bank, Prestige Services and GL & V Pulp and Paper.
Dawn
Grasso
Transferred to Senior Counslelor position atEast Side Center
where she will manage Project Choice and implement Dual Recovery
Groups. Ms. Grasso previously worked as a Dual Recovery Case Manager.
Group
Therapy for Girls
An Adolescent Girls Therapy Group meets on Thursdays from 3:30pm-4:40pm
at Caleo Counseling Services. Groups provide a special opportunity
to discuss issues with peers and share perspectives on solutions
to problems. For further information about groups at AMH, call

TRY
Program at Greenwich
Psychotherapist Deb Gorman, CSW, now visits Greenwich Central
School as part of the TRY Program available through Caleo Counseling
Services. The TRY Program, Treatment Reaching Youth, is the least
disruptive to a child's academic schedule; counseling is within
the school setting and dovetails where school support ends.
